TheTalentChain
AI-powered UK job matching platform, solo-built to public beta.
The Problem
Job searching in the UK is fragmented. Candidates juggle multiple platforms, rewrite CVs per application, and lose track of where they stand. Recruiters rely on keyword matching that misses strong candidates. The entire pipeline from discovery to application is manual and error-prone.
What I Built
TheTalentChain is a full-stack platform I designed, built, and shipped to public beta as a solo founder. It includes a CV builder that structures candidate data for intelligent matching, a smart matching engine that goes beyond keyword search, auto-fill and auto-apply capabilities via a Chrome extension, and a pipeline tracker so candidates never lose sight of their applications.
Technical Decisions
The platform is React and TypeScript end-to-end. I launched three GDPR-compliant GPT features into production: a Cover Letter Generator, a Virtual Interviewer, and CV Insights — each designed to augment the candidate's process without leaking personal data. The matching engine evaluates candidates against roles using structured skill graphs rather than raw text similarity. Primary market is UK, with EU as secondary.
Outcome
Shipped to public beta with the full cycle operational: from CV upload through intelligent matching to one-click application. The platform handles the complete candidate lifecycle — the kind of product that normally takes a team of ten and two years of runway.
